Wichita police say 3 people killed in 2-car crash in west Wichita

WICHITA, Kansas — Wichita police say three people have been killed in a two-car crash in Wichita.

Police say the two-car accident occurred early Sunday in west Wichita and that three people were thrown from one vehicle and were killed. The fatality victims were pronounced dead at the scene. Two other people were injured in the crash.

Sgt. Jim Merrick told KAKE-TV (http://bit.ly/UvDMal) that a white Ford Expedition heading eastbound ran a red light striking the side of the car carrying five people.

The victim's names haven't been released.
