Lancaster authorities investigating death of 6-month-old baby who was staying with relatives

LANCASTER, Pennsylvania — Authorities in Lancaster County are investigating the death of a 6-month-old baby who had been staying with relatives.

The Intelligencer Journal/Lancaster New Era reports (http://bit.ly/17lMHze ) Lancaster County Coroner Stephen Diamantoni says the child was at the home of her aunt and uncle in Lancaster Township and wasn't breathing when she awoke on Sunday.

The coroner pronounced her dead at the scene. Her name has not been released.

Police say it's an ongoing investigation, but it doesn't appear to involve anything criminal. The coroner says he's still trying to determine the cause of death.
