San Diego County authorities say man shot ex-girlfriend and her mother, then himself

SAN DIEGO — San Diego County authorities say the deaths of three people last week at a Warner Springs home are considered a murder-suicide.

The Sheriff's Department announced Monday that investigators believe 52-year-old Steven Keith shot his fomer girlfriend, 28-year-old Sadie Stockalper, and her 63-year-old mother, Felice Howard-Vinnard.

He was found wounded in the home last Friday and died before he could be taken to a hospital.

Stockalper's aunt, Micki Stockalper Plummer, tells U-T San Diego ( ) that Stockalper and Keith had broken up at least a month ago but he still lived in a separate dwelling on the property.
