Tevin Falzon scores 22, grabs 13 boards to lead Sacred Heart past Central Connecticut St 75-66

FAIRFIELD, Connecticut — Tevin Falzon scored 22 and pulled down 13 rebounds, both career-bests, to lead Sacred Heart to a 75-66 win over Central Connecticut State on Monday night.

Falzon made 8 of 12 field goals and blocked five shots, also a career-high.

Cane Broome added 16 points and seven rebounds for Sacred Heart (7-8, 1-1 Northeast Conference) and Steve Glowiak scored 14.

CCSU made just 10 of 32 (31.2 percent) field goals, and was outrebounded 24-15 in the first half. The Pioneers led by as many as 20 before taking a 38-23 lead into halftime.

Matt Mobley scored 28, including six 3-pointers, of his career-high 32 in the second half and his final 3 made pulled CCSU (2-13, 0-2) within 71-64, but the Blue Devils would get no closer.

Kevin Seymour and Brandon Peel scored 11 apiece for CCSU. Peel added eight rebounds and Faronte Drakeford grabbed 10.
