Eustace scores 14, McKnight adds 13 and 10 boards; Miami (Ohio) beats Bowling Green 67-56

BOWLING GREEN, OHIO — Jaryd Eustace scored 14 in just 11 minutes of action and Geovonie McKnight had 13 points and a career-high 10 rebounds to help Miami (Ohio) beat Bowling Green 67-56 on Wednesday night.

Eustace scored seven-straight points during an 11-0 run that gave Miami (10-16, 5-8 Mid-American) a 50-43 lead with 10:54 remaining.

The Redhawks did not trail again.

A pair of free throws by David Joseph pulled Bowling Green (17-7, 9-4) within three with nine minutes to go, but the Green Falcons would get no closer.

Miami, which trailed 33-31 at the half, made 20 of 21 (95.2 percent) free throws overall and shot 46 percent from the field in the second half.

Bowling Green made just 8 of 25 (32 percent) after the break and was 0 of 11 from 3-point range.

Richaun Holmes led Bowling Green with 21 points, 12 rebounds and five blocked shots.
