PIERSON, Florida — Authorities say a central Florida woman was killed when her truck was hit by an Amtrack train.

The Florida Highway Patrol reports that that 40-year-old Laura Ann Bennett was hit after turning in front of the fast-moving train Friday afternoon. Bennett had just turned off of U.S. 17 in Pierson into the crossing of a trucking complex where she worked.

The Daytona Beach News-Journal (http://goo.gl/0RC9B7 ) reports that the crossing does not have warning lights or arms.

An Amtrack spokeswoman said none of the 208 passengers on the train reported any injuries. The train had been heading from New York to Miami.
