Romelu Lukaku put Everton in front in the 33rd minute at Goodison Park by turning home a finish from a cut-back by Belgium teammate Kevin Mirallas, for his sixth goal of the season.

Aluko came on in the 53rd and equalized six minutes later, surging past Everton defender Sylvain Distin on the right-hand side of the penalty box and shooting low past goalkeeper Tim Howard.

Everton has won just one of its last five league games and is languishing in 11th place in the standings. Hull moved above Burnley on goal difference into 17th place.
