Correction: Wilmington Shooting story

WILMINGTON, Delaware — In a story July 15 about a shooting in Wilmington, The Associated Press reported erroneously where the shooting occurred. Police say the shooting victim was found in a movie theater parking lot, but the shooting occurred elsewhere.

A corrected version of the story is below:

WILMINGTON, Delaware — Wilmington Police say a man found in a movie theater parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound was shot blocks away.

Officers called to Penn Cinema on South Madison Street on Tuesday night found a 20-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his back. Police say they determined that the shooting took place in the area of Oak and Marshall streets, about a half mile away.

The victim was taken to Christiana Hospital in stable condition.
