3 men try to rob 3 teens in Del.; gunshots heard as victims run away

WILMINGTON, Delaware — Delaware State Police say three men tried to rob three teenagers in Wilmington, but the youths ran away.

It happened about 10:20 p.m. Sunday on South Heald Street. Troopers say the three teens were walking when they were approached by three men, one of whom had a handgun.

Police say the men demanded the teens' property, but the teenagers ran away. The youths say they heard gunshots as they fled, but none was hit.
