Elderly woman struck and killed by a vehicle while crossing a street in Queens

NEW YORK — Police say a 69-year-old woman was struck and killed by a vehicle while attempting to a cross a street in Queens.

It happened on Bell Boulevard near Estates Lane just after 5:30 p.m. Monday.

Police say the victim was walking northbound over Bell Boulevard when she was struck by a Subaru driven by a 57-year-old woman.

The unidentified victim was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Police are investigating. There have been no arrests.
