Bayern coach Pep Guardiola walks out of news conference after England question

MUNICH — Bayern Munich coach Pep Guardiola abruptly ended a news conference Friday after being asked about reports linking him with the England national team.

Guardiola was visibly perturbed by the question about speculation he might become the next England coach.

The Spaniard shook and bowed his head and said, "Oh come on. Next question. Next question please. No. I'm the coach of Bayern Munich, OK? Thank you."

He then knocked his hand on the table and walked out.

Guardiola's contract with Bayern is due to expire at the end of the season and so far the Spanish coach has kept the club second-guessing about his future. Bayern would like to extend his stay.

The 44-year-old Spaniard led Bayern to back-to-back Bundesliga titles after taking over Jupp Heynckes' treble-winning side in 2013.
