Body found in South Platte's Waterton Canyon identified as that of missing motorcyclist

CASTLE ROCK, Colorado — A body found in the South Platte River in Waterton Canyon has been identified as that of a missing motorcyclist.

The body was found Saturday. Robert Jacobs, 65, was reported missing June 8. He was last seen in Castle Rock on his way to Breckenridge.

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in finding Jacobs' motorcycle — a Harley Davidson King with Colorado license plates 445UVU.
