Police in Bentonville seek man who impersonated officer, pulled over female driver

BENTONVILLE, Arkansas — Police in Bentonville are searching for a man who they say impersonated a police officer and pulled over a woman as she was driving home from work.

Police say the woman told officers that the man was driving a black car with a spotlight and red and blue lights on the dashboard when he pulled her over on Tuesday.

The woman said the man tried to open her car door and she became suspicious and told him that she was going to call police because she didn't believe he was an officer. She says the man then got back into his car and drove away.
