CASA GRANDE, Arizona — Pinal County authorities say a mother and her four children who were the subject of an Amber Alert issued Thursday morning are OK and apparently weren't in any danger.
Sheriff's Lt. Tamatha Villar (vee-YAR') says 31-year-old Jessica Brown drove herself and her children to the Casa Grande Police Department after hearing the Amber Alert on the radio Thursday morning.
Brown has custody of her children but the alert was issued because of concerns about the well-being of Brown and her children.
Villar says that's because of statements that her ex-boyfriend had told her family that Brown purportedly made.
However, Villar says there's now no evidence that Brown or her children were at risk and that they've been released.
The alert's distribution area included the Phoenix and Tucson metro areas.
