PHOENIX — The deadline for mailing early ballots for next week's primary election is here.

Ballots needs to be postmarked by Friday in order to ensure they'll reach election officials in time to be counted. Any ballots arriving after Tuesday are invalid.

Voters who have not completed their early ballot or miss the mailing deadline can drop them off at any polling place in their home county on Tuesday.

Tuesday's primary election is choosing candidates for all congressional seats and statewide offices, including governor, attorney general, treasurer and superintendent of public instruction.

State legislators are also on the ballot.
