WINDSOR, California — A human skull, a tennis shoe and other skeletal remains have been found in a Northern California park.
The Sonoma County Sheriff's office said a hiker and his two children spotted the skull and shoe in a creek bed in Shiloh Regional Park Sunday afternoon.
Deputies confirmed the remains were human and saw other skeletal remains under the leaves nearby.
As darkness fell, the deputies secured the area and planned to continue the investigation Monday morning.
