NEW YORK — The Long Island Rail Road is reporting up to 20-minute delays system-wide due to broken rails.

Transit officials say a broken rail near Westbury and another broken rail in Babylon are causing 15 to 20 minutes delays.

It warns passengers to expect further delays and cancellations as crews work to make repairs.

The railroad advises riders to use other branches for their commute.
