ATHENS, Greece — Late goals by Alejandro Dominguez and Michael Olaitan helped defending champion Olympiakos to a 2-0 victory over visiting Asteras in the Greek league on Saturday.
Asteras played for a draw and frustrated Olympiakos' efforts until the 74th minute, when Vladimir Weiss was brought down in Asteras' area. Dominguez converted the penalty.
In the 90th, Weiss, who had hit the left post a minute earlier, made his next shot count. Goalkeeper Dani Hernandez failed to block and Olaitan slammed the rebound into the net.
Olympiakos remains undefeated, with just a draw in 14 rounds, nine points ahead of second-placed PAOK, which hosts Apollon on Sunday. Asteras is fifth.
Also, Levadiakos beat Platanias 2-0 and Ergotelis and Aris drew 3-3, with all six goals scored in the final 30 minutes.
