VERO BEACH, Florida — A man has been convicted in a fatal central Florida home invasion.

An Indian River County jury found Henry Lee Jones Jr. guilty Friday of first-degree murder with a firearm and armed burglary with an assault or battery. He faces a mandatory life sentence at a Nov. 7 hearing.

Prosecutors say Jones fatally shot 41-year-old Brian Simpson during a November 2011 break-in and burglary at Simpson's home.
