Man charged with fatally stabbing another man in Cortland apartment complex

CORTLAND, New York — Police say a 43-year-old man is in jail facing a murder charge after a stabbing in a Cortland apartment complex.

Cortland Police were called to the Northcliffe Apartments shortly after 2 p.m. Saturday to investigate a report of a stabbing. They found the body of 36-year-old Terry Walker of Syracuse inside an apartment.

Randy K. Wilkinson of Cortland was charged with second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon. Police say he was at the scene and has been cooperative.

Wilkinson was taken to Cortland County Jail to await a city court appearance on Monday.
