RICHMOND, Indiana — An eastern Indiana teenager charged in connection with another teen's brutal beating death has agreed to plead guilty to assisting a criminal.

The Palladium-Item reports (http://pinews.co/1z31UTW ) 18-year-old David A. Maish would serve two years in prison, followed by two years of probation under the proposed plea agreement a judge still must approve.

In exchange, he must testify against three fellow youths accused in the beating death of 17-year-old Caleb Woosley, whose body was found May 18 in a Richmond alley.

Court documents say Woosley was struck 40 times with a baseball bat. The three other defendants in his killing have been charged with murder.

Maish has told police the three others planned and committed Woosley's murder. He's being held at the Wayne County jail.
