USNS Leroy Grumman returning to Va. following six-month deployment

NORFOLK, Virginia — A fleet replenishment oiler is returning to Virginia following a six-month deployment to waters off of Europe and Africa.

The USNS Leroy Grumman is scheduled to arrive at Naval Station Norfolk on Tuesday.

The Grumman provides fuel, cargo and stores to U.S. and NATO forces at sea.

The Grumman is crewed by civilian sailors and hosts a small complement of military personnel on board.
