Fog reducing visibility, slowing commute in parts of New Jersey

TRENTON, New Jersey — Dense fog is reducing visibility and slowing the commute in parts of New Jersey.

A dense fog advisory is in effect until 10 a.m. Wednesday for Monmouth, Ocean, Middlesex, Mercer, Cumberland, Atlantic, Cape May, southeast Burlington, Bergen, Hudson, Essex, Union and eastern Passaic counties.

The National Weather Service says the fog can reduce visibility to a quarter mile or less. Motorists are advised to slow down.

The fog advisory was canceled for Morris, Somerset, Salem, Gloucester, Camden and northwest Burlington counties.
