CLINTON, Iowa — A school district in eastern Iowa says a student sent to the hospital after a school bus crash has suffered a broken foot.
The Clinton Community School District updated its report after saying the student had minor cuts.
The Clinton Police Department says the Tuesday morning crash involved a pickup truck that ran a red light and hit the small bus, pushing it onto its side. Four students and a bus driver were on board.
The district says the other students were not injured but were taken to the hospital as a precaution.
Both drivers refused treatment at the scene. The pickup driver was cited for failing to obey a traffic control device. His name has not been released.
