ALBANY, Georgia — Authorities say a school bus carrying 39 children in Albany was struck by another car, sending the driver and three people in the car to the hospital.

WALB-TV (http://bit.ly/1QRbwdT ) reports the car was trying to turn when it hit the bus around 3 p.m. Wednesday. The bus was carrying children to a local YMCA. No one on the bus was hurt.

Troopers have charged the driver of the car, 33-year-old Lequistia Hawkins, with failure to yield.

Hawkins, her father, and two children in the car were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The children on the bus were mostly 1st and 2nd graders.

It is unclear if Hawkins has a lawyer.
