BILOXI, Mississippi — Ocean Springs businessman Scott Walker has reported to federal prison to begin an 18-month sentence for conspiracy and fraud charges involving the Mississippi Department of Marine Resources and the City of D'Iberville.

According to the U.S. Federal Bureau of Prisons, Walker reported to the minimum security prison in Pensacola, Florida, on Monday.

The 35-year-old Walker is scheduled to be released March 21, 2016.

U.S. District Court Judge Keith Starrett sentenced Walker in July to 18 months on each of the two counts to which Walker pleaded guilty in April, but the sentences will run concurrent.
