2 teenage boys shot, 1 killed, in Los Angeles neighborhood


LOS ANGELES — Police said a 14-year-old boy was killed and a 16-year-old boy was critically injured in a shooting in Los Angeles.

Lt. Cliff Humphris said the shooting occurred Sunday night in the city's Pico-Union neighborhood, about two miles southwest of downtown.

He told the Los Angeles Times ( the younger boy was pronounced dead at the scene; the 16-year-old boy was taken to a hospital in critical condition.

Police did not have any suspect information.
