1 killed, 2 hurt in shootings during robbery in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, Delaware — Wilmington police say a 20-year-old man was killed and two other men injured in three shootings police say are related.

Officers responding to reports of shots fired went to North Market Street about 9 p.m. Thursday. They found a 23-year-old man with from gunshot wounds to his left arm and buttocks.

Police were notified of another shooting victim at 24th and North Madison Streets, where they found a 20-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds to his head and torso.

Authorities also were told of an 18-year-old man who was taken to a hospital with a gunshot wound to his upper left shoulder area.

Investigators say the 20-year-old, identified as Shaiquen Brown of Wilmington died early Friday at a hospital.

Police say the shootings started as a robbery.
