SAN FRANCISCO — The trial of an alleged gang member accused of killing a San Francisco man and his two sons is now in the hands of jurors.
The San Francisco Chronicle reports (http://bit.ly/Inho6u ) that after hearing closing arguments in the triple murder trial of Edwin Ramos Wednesday afternoon, the panel deliberated for about an hour before going home for the day.
Prosecutors say Ramos opened fire on a car carrying 48-year-old Tony Bologna and his three sons — Michael, Matthew and Andrew — in June 2008.
Tony Bologna was killed, as well as 20-year-old Michael and 16-year-old Matthew. A third son inside the car wasn't hurt.
If convicted, the 25-year-old Ramos could be sentenced to life in prison without parole.
