Driver killed in crash on Long Island after car hits snowbank, cement wall

DEER PARK, New York — Police say a man is dead after a one-car crash on Long Island.

The accident happened at 2:40 a.m. Saturday in Deer Park.

Suffolk County police say the man was driving a Mercedes-Benz when he veered off the road and hit a snowbank, a 4-foot cement wall and a garbage bin.

The driver was ejected from the car. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

His name was not immediately released.
