E. Ind. woman guilty of murder in baby death gets 2 more years for neglect of 3 other children

RICHMOND, Indiana — An eastern Indiana woman found guilty of murder in the starvation death of her infant son has pleaded guilty to three counts of neglect of her other three children.

Twenty-three-year-old Amy Hockett of Richmond was sentenced to concurrent, two-year terms under a plea agreement accepted Tuesday by Wayne Superior Court Judge Gregory Horn. The Palladium-Item reports (http://pinews.co/15gNJsd ) that sentence will be served after she completes her 60-year sentence for the February 2012 murder of nearly 4-month-old Khaiden Hockett.

The neglect counts are in connection to two sons ages 4 and 3 and a 2-year-old daughter.

Khaiden's father, 25-year-old Joseph Pierson was sentenced last week to 37 years in prison after being found guilty but mentally ill of neglect in Khaiden's death. He faces additional neglect charges.
