Chris Wondolowski scores early in 2nd half, Earthquakes rally to tie Crew 1-1


SANTA CLARA, California — San Jose striker Chris Wondolowski headed home in the 51st minute to give the Earthquakes a 1-1 home draw against Columbus on Sunday.

San Jose, bottom of the Western Conference, picked up just its second point of the season, while Columbus went clear atop the Eastern Conference with the point.

Federico Higuain scored his fourth goal of the season with left-footed strike in the 44th minute for Columbus, who are unbeaten in three away games this year.
