LAWRENCEVILLE, Georgia — Police in Atlanta's northeastern suburbs are investigating a traffic accident that killed a 13-year-old boy as he rode his bicycle.

Gwinnett Police Cpl. Ed Ritter said Justin Shaw was riding his bike downhill on a street in the Lawrenceville area on Wednesday when he failed to stop at the stop sign and pulled out in front of a couple of vehicles.

Ritter tells WSB Radio (http://bit.ly/Tdh2LO) that Shaw was hit by the first vehicle, then thrown into the path of oncoming traffic and hit by a second vehicle. He died several hours later at a hospital.

Ritter says he doesn't anticipate any charges being brought against either driver.
