DEDHAM, Massachusetts — Authorities say a 70-year-old Dedham woman has been struck and killed by a vehicle as she walked to Mass.

Anne McIntyre was crossing the street in front of St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic church on Tuesday morning when she was struck by a truck. She was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Her parish priest says she came to Mass every day.

The driver of the pickup truck stopped at the scene and called 911. Police say he appeared distress and has not been charged. Police say solar glare may have played a factor.
