DETROIT — Authorities say they've found the bodies of a man and woman in a car that burned on Detroit's west side.
Police were investigating the discovery, which was made early Monday after firefighters were called to the scene late Sunday following a report that two area houses might have been on fire. Authorities say the man's body was found in the car's trunk and the woman's body was found in the back seat of the car.
The car was found burning in between two vacant homes. The bodies were to be identified by the office of the Wayne County medical examiner.
The burned remains of the car were removed from the scene on Monday morning on the back of a truck.
