13-year-old boy killed in ATV crash in Grand Junction

GRAND JUNCTION, Colorado — Authorities say a 13-year-old boy was killed in an all-terrain vehicle accident in Grand Junction.

The Grand Junction Daily Sentinel reports (http://bit.ly/1CJqGbV ) the Mesa County coroner's office identified the victim Friday as Lloyd Joseph, a student at Fruita 8/9 Middle School. The boy was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, the circumstances of which have not been released.

The accident was reported in the northern part of the city on Thursday evening.
