HELENA, Montana — A Miles City man has claimed a $40,000 Montana Cash jackpot while a group of Helena Wal-Mart employees are splitting a $10,000 Powerball prize.

Montana Lottery officials say Leon Arnoldt was in Helena on Friday to claim the jackpot from the April 4 Montana Cash drawing. He bought his winning ticket at The Short Stop in Miles City. Arnoldt says he plans to save his money to put toward a down payment on a house.

And on Monday, Dennis House of Helena claimed a $10,000 Powerball prize on behalf of a group of 13 Wal-Mart employees. House says they have been participating in a lottery pool for years. Each will receive just over $500 after taxes.
