Caddo Parish School Board votes to extend Superintendent Lamar Goree's contract


SHREVEPORT, Louisiana — The Caddo Parish School Board has unanimously voted to an early extension of Superintendent Lamar Goree's contract.

Tuesday's 11-0 voted, means Goree will earn $225,000 annually beginning March 1. That's an increase of $25,000 per year while Goree also will receive a $10,000 signing bonus. Goree also stands to earn an additional $10,000 incentive pay each year based on his performance evaluation.

The Times reports ( ) the decision reflects the school board's faith in Goree, retaining him through December 2018.

Board members voted on the contract without discussion.
