Train hits 13-year-old boy near California, Nevada border

TRUCKEE, California — A 13-year-old boy was hit and killed by a train Sunday evening while walking along tracks near Truckee, about 20 miles west of the California-Nevada line.

KXTV in Sacramento reports (http://on.news10.net/1GcFpjb) California and Nevada officials found the boy's body after responding to reports of a pedestrian incident near Interstate 80.

The boy's identity has yet to be released while police attempt to notify his family.

The California Highway Patrol says the incident shut down eastbound lanes on I-80 for a few hours.
