2 killed in Panhandle rollover crash over weekend; victims ejected from SUV

BONIFAY, Florida — Authorities say two people are dead following a weekend rollover crash in the Florida Panhandle.

The Florida Highway Patrol reports that 39-year-old Mary Elizabeth Sewell and 29-year-old Joshua Moore were ejected from an SUV early Sunday morning. The Panama City News Herald ( ) reports that troopers weren't immediately sure who was driving.

FHP says the SUV was attempting to pass another vehicle on a county road near Bonifay when it lost control and went into a ditch. The SUV overturned several times before coming to a rest.

Sewell and Moore were pronounced dead at a nearby hospital. Officials say neither of the victims was wearing a seat belt.
