Dallas placed under flood advisory amid storms

DALLAS — Much of the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area is under a flood advisory as thunderstorms and rain bear down on North Texas.

The National Weather Service issued its advisory Monday for Dallas, Tarrant, Denton and Collin counties until 9 a.m.

Meteorologists warn that rains could cause flooding in streets and low-lying areas.

A line of storms is moving southeast across North Texas.
