Darcy Sharpe wins World Cup big air event to lead a 1-2 Canadian finish

QUEBEC CITY — Darcy Sharpe won a World Cup big air event Friday night to lead a 1-2 Canadian finish, and Cheryl Maas of the Netherlands took the women's event.

Sharpe finished with 187.75 points for the combined score of his two best jumps in the three-round final. Tyler Nicholson was second at 177.25.

Lia-Mara Boesch of Switzerland was second in the women's competition.
