LOUISVILLE, Kentucky — Forecasters say a winter storm is bringing several inches of snow to Kentucky before turning to rain on Monday.

The National Weather Service says up to 5 inches of snow is expected by Monday morning before turning to rain by the afternoon.

Much of the state was under a winter storm warning Sunday. Higher elevations could see higher snowfall amounts. The weather service says some areas could see freezing drizzle as the precipitation transitions from snow to rain.
