Griz 7th, Bobcats 11/14th in FCS polls; Carroll up to 4th, Rocky 17th

The Montana football team held onto its seventh-place ranking in both The Sports Network and the NCAA coaches' polls, while Montana State moved up in both polls.

The Bobcats moved up two spots to 11th in the media poll and up one spot to 14th in the coaches' poll released Monday.

Three-time defending FCS national champion North Dakota State is still ranked first followed by Eastern Washington and Coastal Carolina.

Eastern Washington announced Sunday that quarterback Vernon Davis will miss three to six weeks with two broken bones in his feet. He was injured Saturday but passed for 354 yards and four touchdowns and ran for two more scores in a 56-53 win over Idaho State on Saturday.

In the NAIA, Carroll College moved up a spot to fourth while Frontier Conference foe Southern Oregon moved up two spots to fifth. Eastern Oregon is ranked 15th and Rocky Mountain 17th.
