LINCOLN, Nebraska — A southeast Nebraska man has been sentenced to 23 years in federal prison for producing child pornography.

Deborah Gilg, the U.S. Attorney for Nebraska, announced that 47-year-old Bobby Gene Clark Jr., of York, was sentenced Friday in Lincoln's federal court.

Prosecutors say Clark video-recorded his May 2013 sexual assault of a 7-year-old girl. Police found the video on Clark's laptop computer after the girl told authorities of the assault and was able to describe the house where the assault took place.

After his release from prison, Clark will be required to serve 20 years of supervised release and be registered as a sex offender. A hearing to address restitution to his victim is scheduled for a later date.

There is no parole in the federal system.
