Arrest made in hit-and-run crash that killed 85-year-old man on Long Island


MELVILLE, New York — Suffolk County Police say have arrested a Floral Park man for a hit-and-run crash that killed an 85-year-old pedestrian.

Robert Hosking was struck Friday night by a vehicle traveling south on Route 110 in Melville. Hosking died Saturday while being treated for internal injuries and multiple fractures.

Harvinder Hothi was arrested Tuesday on a charge of leaving the scene of an accident.

The 45-year-old Hothi was scheduled to be arraigned later Wednesday.

No information on an attorney for Hothi was available.
