BRIGHTON, Colorado — A man accused of starting a fire that forced residents from six apartments in Westminster is facing several charges.
The Adams County District Attorney's Office said Friday that 34-year-old Christopher Edward Meyer has been charged with one count of criminal mischief and 33 counts of fourth-degree arson for the Sept. 6 fire at the Sky View Apartments. Investigators say the fire put 33 people in danger and caused more than $100,000 in damage.
It took firefighters about half an hour to control the blaze.
Two residents were treated for possible smoke inhalation. No other injuries were reported.
