NEW YORK — A New York City man has pleaded guilty to shooting his estranged wife to death in front of their three children.
Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus R. Vance Jr. says Renaldo Lebron will be sentenced on June 27 for second-degree murder.
The children were 4, 6, and 8 when Lebron chased their mother into the hallway of their west Harlem apartment building and shot her twice in the chest.
They saw the bloodshed through their open apartment door. Then Lebron told them to shut the door — or he'd kill them too,.
The victim had an order of protection before she was killed on May 27, 2010.
