Hardin woman pleads guilty to endangerment in death of boyfriend's 6-year-old daughter

BILLINGS, Montana — A Hardin woman accused of beating her boyfriend's 6-year-old daughter to death has pleaded guilty to criminal endangerment and obstructing justice.

The Billings Gazette reports ( ) 28-year-old Kerstyn Old Bull entered her plea Friday in the March 2 beating of Kiomora "Kiki" Hogan, who died of a skull fracture. As part of a plea deal, prosecutors dropped a deliberate homicide charge.

Prosecutors say Kiki's father left the girl with Old Bull. When he returned home and found her unconscious, he and Old Bull took nearly two hours before deciding to take her to the hospital.

A doctor told investigators the girl could have survived with immediate medical attention.

In July, a judge dismissed a negligent homicide charge against the father after he agreed to testify against Old Bull.

Old Bull is scheduled to be sentenced Jan. 20.
