Little Rock police say man killed in Saturday shooting on city's southwest side

LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas — Little Rock police say a man has been killed in a shooting on the city's southwest side.

Lt. Sidney Allen says officers were called shortly after 10 p.m. Saturday to a home where witnesses reported hearing a gunshot. Allen says officers entered the home and found 31-year-old Marco Avila in the front room with at least one gunshot wound to the torso and that Avila later died.

Allen says the witnesses told officers they saw four men leaving the area after the shooting — but that there were no descriptions of the four men.
